Trucks use heavy duty internal combustion engines. All internal combustion engines being mechanical require lubricating for proper functioning. Specially formulated lubricants are used for truck lubricating service. Each type of truck requires a specific grade of lubricant. Lubricants are known as engine oil in common parlance.
The Truck Lubricating Service providers often use lower grade lubricants to cut costs. These low cost lubricants cause more harm to the engines in the long run. Most of the damage occurs due to prolonged usage of the vehicle without any form of lubrication. Therefore it becomes extremely important, to lubricate the parts of the vehicle regularly, in order to avoid repairing costs which may arise in the near future.
Truck Lubrication acts is a friction reducing technique that makes the motors of the vehicle work less to give the optimum results. The service provided might often advice the truck owners or the drivers that replacement of a truck part is necessary, but it should be made clear whether the problem can be solved with lubrication or not. Lubricating of motors becomes absolutely necessary after long journeys. Servicing however, can be avoided if the truck is relatively new, i.e. less than a year old, but as time passes by, if the lubricating is delayed, the truck will not run smoothly, and the performance of the vehicle will be decrease significantly, or be much below optimum.
However, excessive lubricating of the truck may turn out to be harmful for the vehicle also. If the friction between the motorized parts is significantly reduced due to excessive use of lubricants, the truck may start jerking and start causing problems for the driver. Read the rest of this entry »
